Always not knowing what to eat during lunch and squabble with your colleagues on where is the most valuable lunch set around? Well, you have found the place. Eco Wine serves an extensive range of menu to savour on which include:
Sweet & Sour Chicken Rice (RM11.90)
This brought me right back at home. The sweet and sour combo was just nice with the juicy chicken. Plus, look at the portion. The egg, rice, and huge portion of meat and vege was more than enough for one person, plus there's soup and drink!
Homestyle Ginger Chicken (RM10.90)
I'm not a fan of ginger hehe but this is a dish Chinese family cannot run away from. However, the ginger taste and smell is not very strong, just how I liked it and the brown sauce was tasty and overall mouth watering.
Gong Po Chicken Rice (RM10.90)
Now, you must be wondering, these are all Chinese dishes. Well, because the chef is Chinese and I can assure you, these are all authentic Chinese home cooked style dishes. The chef nailed it with the Gong Po chicken rice with a little bit of spice and if you miss home cooked food when staying away from your mom, this is the place to have your lunch.
Fiery Roasted Pork Rice (RM11.90)
If you like your dish sweet and spicy, this should be your pick. The black sauce was sweet and salty together with the cili padi for that added extra kick makes this dish wholesome. Love that all dishes comes with vege garnishing so it makes it healthy for a balanced diet.
Pork Curry Rice (RM11.90)
My favourite of all dishes! And a group of 5 of us agreed that this was the star dish. This is a must try in my opinion. The signature pork curry rice comes with a huge serving of pork with potato and a side hard boiled egg. The pork was juicy and tender and the best was the generous amount of delicious thick curry sauce to eat with rice which is the whole purpose of it haha! Wallop clean the whole plate ok!
Grilled chicken rice with black pepper sauce (RM11.90)
Grilled chicken rice with brown sauce (RM11.90)
Both are the same dishes with difference sauces. If you like black pepper, choose the black pepper sauce otherwise have the brown sauce dish. Personally, I prefer the black pepper one because I like spicy hehe but the both sauces were thick, with a balance of sweet and salty.
One thing about home cooked style dish is that it is less oil, healthier and chef has assured us that she did not add any MSG into her cooking which was surprising considering how yummy everything were =)
Now, of course, when you see the name of the restaurant is called Eco Wine, they obviously serve alcohol beverages. But their selling point here is their craft beers. Craft beers are not those over commercialized beers but those made in a traditional way by a small brewery imported from different countries abroad.
Current promotion is RM99 for 4 bottles of Tiny Rebel craft beer.
Craft beers are best to go with some snacks served here as well.
Eenie meenie miny mo.
My favourite though was this Stay Puft Marshmallow Porter which taste stout-ish. The craft beers don't have the lingering bitter taste and smooth texture.
Skewers- minimum order of 2 plates:
Seafood Buta Roll ( RM20/2 sticks)
Seafood Buta Roll ( RM20/2 sticks)
Shishamo (RM20/3 sticks)
Yakitori (RM12/2sticks)
Coin Meat (RM20/2 sticks)
Lamb Shioyaki (RM22/2sticks)
Buta Shioyaki (RM16/2 sticks)
That right-est coin meat which is a honey glazed Chinese dried meat was my favourite! Sweet, tasty and before you know, you would have popped a few into your mouth without realising it. The meat was not too hard and best for beer bites! Shishamo(fish in sticks) were grilled nicely as well and the males in the group whacked the chicken skewers, pork and lamb. Good to nibble on during drinking sessions.
More snackssss:
Chicken popcorn (RM18)
Very addictive!
Fish Cake (RM15)
Signature seafood meatball (RM20)
Ohh, this was good! It's actually homemade and the fish meat is quite significant so don't worry because the ingredients are freshly picked and made!
Chilli French Fries (RM10)
Porky Fries (RM18)
Nom, nom, nom. Porky fries was a fan favourite. Fantastic as a beer bite! Crispy and yummy.
After 6pm, Eco Wine serves dinner as well. There are Chinese food, Thai food and Western food on the menu. But let me highlight their 2 signature dishes.

Braised Pork Tofu Egg (RM22)
The black sauce seeped into the meat and tofu making it delicious. The chef put her heart into this by patiently double slow boiling it until the sauce thickens and the herbs was a right balance for a perfect traditional Chinese dish.
Pork Rib/Meat Curry (RM25)
Crispy Mantao (RM8)
Now, I told you that my favourite lunch set was the pork curry rice. Well, you can have it for dinner as well with mantao-the best!
Dip a crispy bun into it and savour the curry in your mouth. The mantao crisp with the curry sauce is a burst of flavour in the mouth. Full satisfaction!
