Being posh in Posh! Nail Spa

You know the life of the posh? The 'tai tais' (rich housewife) as you call it?

Well, I managed to experience that in a day in the newly refurbished Posh! Nail Spa =) Yes, it fits the name.

It's a Butterfly Soiree event by The Butterfly Project

It was an intimate, elegant, evening soiree with decadent desserts served by the finest hotels around the world, paired with a sparkling dessert wine and nail pampering session.

By invitation only of course because only posh people live the exclusive life ^__^ If you know me, you would know very well that this is the life I have always dreamt of *laughs* The likes of a rich housewife, eating at luxurious restaurants, enjoying mani/pedi on a frequent basis, getting hair done in a hair salon on a weekly basis, yes the likes of a posh life...

Where else can you enjoy being posh?

In Posh! Nail Spa of course. I mean the wordings are big enough not to miss it hehe

The previous time I visited Posh was at a blogger's launch and now that I visited again after the refurbishment, I was so happy to see it grow into a black and white theme for a classic look instead of a girlish pink theme previously. I mean, it's not that I didn't like it previously(pink is my favourite colour!) but I was so proud to see it grow and it grew with the founder who I will introduce later who has matured in this business and in her style.

Their new tagline is 'Looks Do Matter'

And yes I so very agree. Looks really do matter. First impression is everything.

Like how I first stepped into this place and I knew I would be comfortable and felt cozy with the environment. It was very clean & minimal yet modern.

Then, Sydney from the Butterfly Project welcomed all of us.

And here's the founder, Sereen Eng who is a superwoman.

She is a wife, a mom and a successful businesswoman. I remembered asking her a favour for a friend's bridal mani/pedi and she arranged it immediately for me. Super efficient =) You can see her in the TTDI shop from time to time so do say hello as she's very friendly and with a boss' presence, you'll know that she's very hands on #girlboss She is also operating 3 other Posh outlets!

She showed us around the newly refurbished shop.

This is a makeup place where they provide makeup services for weddings/events.

It can also be party place for bridal showers/gatherings. They can arrange it for you with caterings and even goodie bags! Super versatile and I am definitely shortlisting this place for a friend's bridal shower.

This is their hall of fame where Posh received prizes or was featured.

Did you know that Posh was recently recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records for presenting a one-of-a-kind and the very first Nail Art Fashion Show in Malaysia? Yeap, they're famous like that.

This is Posh creative director, Rachel who is very talented in nail art and creations. 

You may check out Rachel's creations at her work space in Posh which she regularly updates with new creations.

And of course what is a party without desserts and wine?

The dessert spread at the party were by La Rose Noire

They supply delectable and delicious desserts to five star hotels.

Their macaroons are double flavoured which was very unique and yummy.

CA BIANCA MOSCATO D'ASTI by WineTalk Malaysia

Moscato (Muscat in French) is a very versatile grape, being able to offer wines going from light fresh whites, to rich luscious sweet wines while passing with soft, slightly fizzy juicy wines like this one. This wine offers a fine mousse that has a delicate and intense bouquet, with touches of acacia, sage and hints of citrus fruits (orange in particular). 

Its sweet, clean flavour is enlivened by an attractive citric note and has a pleasant aftertaste of fruit and honey hill. It is a very addictive sweetish white, to enjoy fresh with friends for a nice late afternoon drink!

I have always been a fan of Moscato and will definitely look out for this one for brunch with my girl friends because it really suits my palettes and all the other girls loved it too.

 
I swear I almost fell asleep in one of those comfy chairs doing my mani the other day.

Next on the agenda is the nail pampering session.

I had a second appointment to do gel manicure thereafter. I was personally attended by Rachel, the creative director and I had a specific design in mind. She was very meticulous with my nails and I don't know how she did it but she was just so gentle! In fact, I had a chipped nail (which I was quite upset about if it had to be cut coz it would look shorter) but Rachel repaired it so well and fixed it that it looked like nothing happened after that *two thumbs up*

The end result was so satisfying! It was also a replicate of the design I wanted.

It's a gradient colour with glitter and art. Simple yet elegant just how I love it. Very happy with the overall services. Plus they email you for a reminder as well as give a courtesy call one day before appointment date. They can even be contacted via whatsapp. It was all very convenient and easy going which is how a spa place should be to the customers.

Posh as they describe themselves is more than just a beauty appointment. They provide professional manicure and pedicure treatments, nail art and enhancements, makeup and hairdo, as well as waxing and eyelash extension services. They also specialise in giving the ultimate celebration with pampering parties for any occasion.

Do visit them for a pampering session of your choice ^^ You'll definitely won't regret.

The Butterfly Project turns 4

The Butterfly Project recently celebrated its 4th birthday!! Wow, it has come a long way and I still remember when it first started because I joined ever since their first year of establishment. I have known Tammy, the founder, way before all these. I met her at the Cleo's Next Top Blogger finalist photoshoot and from there, we became friends and the rest as they said is history hehe

So happy she threw a party in conjunction with celebrating her 'baby' project to gather us bloggers for a fun party time =)

It was held at Hello Deer, Damansara Uptown.

This is the first thing we saw when we first stepped in.

I've had like second rounds of buffet because it was not only pretty but delicious!

The hardwork and effort put into decorating the place was pure love.

After that, it was unboxing our products review!

Now, on to the most exciting part.
I'm pretty sure you must be wondering what was in all our bags?

In total, we have 12 sponsors who generously contributed to The Butterfly Project birthday bag which totals up to almost RM1,000 per bag.

Trust me, I was also a lil overwhelmed when I saw all these. My mouth could not stop gasping haha

So anyway, since we received so many products which could be used on a daily basis, I will be showing you how I used just the above products for my daily routine for different looks within the week. I literally just dug stuffs out from the bag to use and totally ignored my other stuffs for one whole week to be able to do a full proper review.

Okay, so for 1 whole week, every morning, I have been waking up to my favourite body care from Adidas.

Adidas Climacool range

After bathing with the Climacool shower gel, I managed to stay fresh all day long due to their innovative technology. It has motion-activated fresh capsules that break upon friction/touch to release "freshness" as I move. So basically, once I bathe, the gel which has 'in-built' capsules stays on my body and when there's friction, it releases "freshness" to keep me fresh all day long. How cool is that??

The anti- perspirant is used after shower to keep body odour away and of course, it uses the same technology. It releases the same unique "freshness" that activates when you move. No wonder, I feel fresh with no bad B.O even after a long day of work =) In fact, no perfume is needed when the combination of both is used.

Next up, is skincare.

Thanks to Clinelle, we had a few products from them.

Yes, did you hear the word 'unicorn'? It's like a total hype these days for the unicorn brushes. Totally wanted to get one for myself but luckily I held myself because little did I know, I would be receiving these gorgeous brushes!

And I love love how it all seemed like a fantasy because the description of the product reads:

'Made from the finest unicorn hair & a strong unicorn horn handle, this unicorn brush set would make any girl, scream with rainbows! No unicorns were harmed in the process.'

HAHA, how funny is this? ^^

Used the eyebrow angled brush for my brows.

The brush is soft and easy for application. The bristles picked up the colour easily for a consistent blend. It's definitely not just pretty but able to do its job as well. Felt quite sayang to use also because it's too prettyyy >.<

Goddess- like eye shadows created with the beauty of flowers and made with various flowers extracts(really!).

It consists of 10 super gorgeous colours.

Mixed Begonia and Moss Rose colour to achieve the pretty in pink shadow.

The glitters in the eyeshadow really stood out and I love glitters. It's subtle for day look and add more for a night look later.

Also used the Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner WP Super Black RM69.90

This is a no brainer. We all know Dolly Wink is super awesome. In fact, I am also using Dolly Wink brand as my everyday wear and was so glad to receive another one. It is easy to glide on, fast dry and waterproof. It's sweat, water, tears and sebum resistant. Also contains beauty essence to nourish skin.

Another favourite is the Orkid Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks RM39 each

Super awesome of them to include 4 best new shades for each of us.

I had Turnt, Mars, Vibes and Blush colour.

It is a Halal beauty brand created by a local blogger which is a hit among Muslims. Their matte suede liquid lipsticks have been the talk of the town because the quality is really good and it's vegan!

Got to sayy...Blush colour is such a pretty pink colour.

Mars is a darker red- great for night dinner

Turnt is a bit nude for those who love subtlety

Vibes is slightly a bit more pinkish than Blush for those who like a pop of colour.

So I applied my fave-the Blush colour.

Thanks also to Mamonde's Floral Hydro Mist for setting my makeup of the day.

This spray mist has a cooling effect and I used it to set my makeup during the day and in the middle of the day, spray again to replenish and moisturise my skin with Daffodils extracts + mineral water to turn the heat down especially in our weather and to keep skin hydrated all day long.

Finally, done with my makeup and off to work I go and event at night.

This look lasted me til the end of the night and was very happy with all the products from various sponsors to make me look beautiful =)

At night, it's time to remove my makeup.

Clinelle added in the Deep Cleansing Water sample which is a 5-in-1 multi action water based cleanser that effectively removes dirt, oil and all traces of makeup from face, eye and lips.

It really works wonders.

Just one wipe and everything comes off.

After that, cleansing face time with Neesya Cleansing Set RM39.

This brightening certified halal set comes with a 100ml Gel Cleanser & 75ml Enzymatic Refiner Scrub to brighten & revive dull looking skin.

Used the soap free Brightening Gel Cleanser and squeezed 2 pumps on palm.

Worked a light lather and massaged into damp face and neck and rinse.

This gentle soap free foamless formula cleanses and prepares the skin for brightening effects. Dissolves and eliminates skin-dulling impurities while maintaining essential moisture balance.

Thereafter, I smoothed a medium layer of the Brightening Enzymatic Refiner over cleansed dry skin. Spread with a light circular motion and left on for 3 minutes. Before rinsing, wet fingers and perform a quick circular massage to lift off loosened impurities.

Use 1-2 times a week to enhance skin brightening.

It is a gentle, non-abrasive exfoliant that helps promote luminous clarity and brighter skin and cell renewal, fade superficial blemishes and clear pores.

Therafter, proceeded with Clinelle's Pure Swis Hydracalm Sleeping Mask 60ml RM75.90

Apply adequate amount on face before bedtime. Leave overnight and rinse next morning.

I absolutely love this product! Firstly, it is a lightweight gel which is suitable for my oily skin and my skin felt really smooth the next day making it easy for skincare and makeup application.

The next morning, repeat body and skincare routine.

Now, different makeup for the day.

Applied eyeshadow using Wanderlust Things eyeshadow brush.

1028 Big Eyes Magnifier Mascara 8ml RM59.90

It magnifies eyelashes with the diamond shaped brush that coats lashes from root to top, lifting and thickening every single lash without weighing it down.

It magnifies lashes by 5x for the wide eye effect. Also contains Vitamin B5 to protect lashes.

What I liked about it is that it is not clumpy.

Eyeliner by Mamonde Long Lasting Liquid Eyeliner 4ml in shade 01 Black RM39

It creates vivid lines without smearing eyes for the whole day. 

I love liquid eyeliner and although I have used Mamonde brand before, this is the first time using their eyeliner and it didn't disappoint. It's very easy to glide on and the liquid has the right amount of thickness to create the bold liner look.

 Finished up with Orkid Cosmetics liquid lipstick in Turnt shade.

Been having allergies lately with small red spots. So I've been applying the gel to cool down the itch and redness. It helps in soothing the affected area.
