I would like to share with you what I did during the last long Merdeka weekend.
We headed to Ipoh because my husband was to go for a tournament. I joined along and planned to go for a spa retreat at The Banjaran Hotsprings. Wanted to plan to stay there but because it was a long public holiday weekend, they hiked up the price until it's no longer worth it for us to stay there plus there were limited rooms available. I was kinda disappointed until I browsed through their website and saw this Banjaran Day Pass.

So off we went to enjoy a day of relaxation and serene!
First, we went for a dip. The Geothermal Hot Springs Dipping Pools have different temperatures. From 39 degrees to 42 degrees Celsius.
I'm trying the heat at 41 degrees haha...I love warm water so it's fine for me but depending on the weather. Come during evening time, it will be perfect!
Just chilling =)
Then we proceeded to the steam cave.
It's like a sauna cave! Quite cool.
Just stand there and sweat it out.
After that, the best part is to go to the ice dipping pool.
The water was really coldddd!!!
It was a bit of a shock and I couldn't stand more than 10 seconds in it haha
So we then decided to just dip our feet into the fish water hahaha
Let them eat the dead skin.
But it was so gelii hahah
The next facility is the meditation cave.
This cave is quite cooling and huge! You can just sit there (or sleep) and 'meditate'.
And then outside the cave there's a waterfall.
The pool is geothermal naturally heated.

You can even book a romantic evening dinner for couples in the middle of nature.
Oh btw, they use REN skincare for all their washroom. So awesome!
All lockers were clean and spacious and all important toiletries were provided for shower which was really good for customers like me who don't have a room there. I bathed and dressed up comfortably and blew dry my hair there. Then we went to The Pomelo for dinner.
We used our vouchers to eat at The Pomelo since we did not use it for any treatment. Combined RM300 voucher, these are what we ate:
Free bread appetizers to fill our tummy.
We ordered drummettes which was good and with a surprise blue cheese dip haha
Crab linguine pasta (RM99) with a generous amount of crab meat. Yummy!
Beef angus burger(RM99) with a sunny side up.
This was so filling!
The food and service was up to par. Everyone was serving us with a smile although we were not technically guests there because we were only there to use the facilities. We were super relaxed and really happy with our day there that made our drive back home super calm(although it was really jam with people coming back from the long break).
If you would like to experience The Banjaran just for a day, I think this would be best. Now, we feel that we would come back to stay looking at how much we love the place <3
