The omakase meal at Yakiniku Great was a memorable one. This was our first wagyu omakase and it also happened to be my husband's birthday and they definitely delivered and did not disappoint.
We took the 9 course omakase and although I don't remember which part is which but all the meat really melt in your mouth!! I think our favourite was the Misuji part of the Wagyu.
Appetizer was beef tartare with grated cheese. First time eating raw beef, but it was sooo good!!
The Great Salad.
Freshly grated wasabi <3
Grilled right in front of you and eaten there and then. Oh so yums!
You would think a thicker meat can't really melt in your mouth? Wrong!
Even sweet potato tasted differently here grilled with butter.
Their meat were all very fresh, sliced in the kitchen for public's viewing.
Palate cleanser for more meat to come.
Some sides.
I don't know why but even the mushroom tasted good hahah
Pork belly with Korean sauce.
Scallop with tartare sauce and salmon roe.
Darker coloured meat was marinated in miso.
Mmmm
Grilled meat dipped into broth.
A huge chunk of wagyu.
With egg yolk for the husband who doesn't eat seafood.
With Uni for me =) This Don was the icing on the cake.
I don't usually love cold soba but this cold noodles with shrimp was refreshing.
Lastly, red bean ice cream with green tea to end the night!
And they even had a surprise dessert for my husband at the end for his birthday =)
Overall, I would definitely recommend this experience for those beef lovers who have yet to try Yakiniku Great. It was simply amazing <3
