People's Choice Awards 2012

I thought the fashion at the red carpet arrivals this year were very blah. The stars didn't take much effort to dress up. So I'm only putting up some of my favourites. Others were not even worth it XD

The host of the night, Kaley Cuoco in a graceful dress...But I thought her make up made her look old though...Other than that, she nailed it with that dress..It seems she changed into 7 dresses that night!

Demi Lovato in a strapless Marchesa gown. Perhaps, she was the only one who took the effort to wear a sweeping floor gown and tie her hair up. Then again, she may also be in danger of going OTT coz it's not the Emmy's or Oscars...Nevertheless, the colour was great on her!

Lucy Hale, from Pretty Little Liars, in a unique cut out dress. I love dresses like these-it's not boring yet chic and modern!

Miley Cyrus with bf, Liam Hemsworth. Both looked great especially Liam =) I just have one problem with Miley's dress at the bottom. If you look closely, you can see some colourful hemlines. I didn't like that. Minus it, the dress would be fine!

All three Vampire Diaries main stars came looking great!!

Although I though Nina was quite dissapointing after her many best dressed on red carpets last year, but she still looked great in this Ellie Saab green dress with lace sleeves. She won Fav TV Drama Actress!

Paul Wesley is casual yet awesomely handsome. There's something about guys with a plain shirt and blazer over it that is soo cool! Simple yet nice =)

This is the first time I'm going to name my best dressed to a guy! Ian Somerhalder came in a dashing grey suit all prepped up ready for the carpet!!! This is how you dress for a red carpet!!

I hope other stars dress better in the next awards ceremony...

Kendall Jenner

She is the model to look out for this year...At only the tender age of 16 years old, the second youngest of the Kardashian clan is fast making a name in the modelling industry!

Not only she is very pretty, she has a great body with long legs and good posture as well! Her future in modelling is definitely looking bright!!

Of all the years of Keeping up with the Kardashians, I didn't notice this beautiful young girl who did some cameo appearances here and there would steal the spotlight from her three elder step sisters!

Now, the camera should probably focus on her more and her photoshoots rather than Kim with her divorce and the Kardashians drama!

Purpura Simplex

Many of my friends know that I bruise easily. One time I went water tubing and came back with a whole lot of bruising, it's not even funny. My lower back was black and yellow in colour, my legs were purple, bluish black and I had some other minor bruising here and there -.- Best part was, none of my friends bruised that much!!

It is also because I bruise so easily, the incident where I fell from the train HERE made my bruise superbly serious...

As if the above bruise is not enough, there's another huge one at the front of my leg. FML!!

Luckily, it healed but some bruise remained permanent due to some blood clot =(((

Anyway, I found out when I was much younger, I used to have a lot of blue blacks especially on my legs. My parents will then ask me where I got these bruises from, and I couldn't tell. Honestly, I don't really remember where I got them from. I thought I was just being plain clumsy knocking here and there. 

Till now, after 20 years, I still bruise easily and whenever I see a blue black, I won't remember how I got them. Like just recently, I don't know how I got this bruise:

Finally, I found a medical term for it!!

It's called Purpura Simplex....This is a condition characterized by a tendency to bruise easily due to fragile blood vessels. A bruise may appear even if the person has not knowingly bumped that area. The condition is quite common but more prevalent in women than men. It is generally not considered as a serious condition as it is not associated with any other bleeding problems.

Purpura simplex is not a disease. Treatment is neither necessary nor available. The individual should be reassured and advised to avoid blood thinning medication such as aspirin and other medications that can increase purpura.

The cause and means for this disorder remains to be unknown. Some studies show that this disorder may run in the family. Serious bleeding, however, does not seem to happen.

So, it's nothing I should be worried about after all! Just that I should be more careful when I get adventurous sometimes LOL

cupcakes

I'm obsessed with ultimately cute and pretty cupcakes!! I can't get enough of them. Nevermind it doesn't taste good, if it looks pretty, I'm obsessed *laughs*

I love shaped cakes as well...especially Barbie or fairy shaped cakes *hearts* I get so jealous when I see kids have awesome cakes. I never had one of those =(

Ooooh don't all of these look sooo pweety??!!!!! I wonder how to eat it? I mean firstly, to even start cutting it will break my heart, then to eat those fondant fairies in your mouth? Gaahh...I don't have the heart to LOL

But yeah as you probably figured it out, I am too old for these princess cakes. So, let's go back to pretty cupcakes instead haha

I love handbag, makeup and shoes themed cupcakes! It's all very girly stuffs so just bare with me *laughs*
Aoki Lee, Kimora Lee Simmon's daughter had her 8th birthday cake with a Chanel theme *so epicly jealous now*

 Saw the big 'A' for her name on top, with the black and white theme, with a Chanel shoe, sunglasses and gloves <3

But, as I mentioned, I was talking about cupcakes!! Yes I'm getting there....

On top of that cake, Aoki, true to her fashion sense, although only at 8, had every guest at her fashion show/birthday party, being treated to a 'SHOE'! 

Okay, the shoe is edible, almost like a fondant design on a cupcake only that this 'Shoe' is HUGE(see below)

...with fries and fruits!!!!

Doesn't it look soooo YUMMY!!!! Chocolate shoe for each guest *dies* She's one lucky girl!!!

There are so many pretty designs below to feast your eyes on as well...

My 21st is quite long more to go but I already had it in my mind for quite some time and I want shoes, makeup and handbag as the main cupcake theme! I am very specific about my vision of the cupcakes(like it's something really important LOL) and it's actually quite important for the baker to make it right or else I'll throw tantrums *laughs*

Hopefully, she will make it right and I can has my own pweetty cupcakes as well!! Weee~

ANTM: All Stars Cycle 17

Have you been watching the latest season of America's Next Top Model showing in Star World right now? I really liked the All Stars season so far. Anyway, I loved anything with All Stars like Survivor, Amazing Race and so on...

This one episode really caught my eye. I've always liked this particular model, Shannon Stewart from Cycle 1. She is absolutely gorgeous with long legs and amazing features. She has a certain brand which she holds true to herself which is that she would not post nude or in a lingerie.

So, this one particular episode where the models had to shoot in a lingerie in a huge bowl of salad, she refused. The shoot was such as below:

Hence, she didn't have a photo for the judges during elimination. She was eliminated. Tyra Banks, however, mentioned that she was eliminated not because she didn't do the shoot but because she didn't win any challenges and never had best photo before during her stint in ANTM. I thought Tyra was just sugar coating it. 

I really did think she was eliminated because of her conservative style. I somehow find that in this industry, there is no room to be conservative. I also found that in that episode, Mr.Jay, the creative director was kind of pushing her to do the lingerie shot and the guy judges at the panel were not supportive of her brand at all!

Although Tyra thought Shannon stood to her belief was noble, I doubt it was actually what she thought! I really respect Shannon for not succumbing to the pressure. If she's not going to pose in her underwear, then she's not going to do it!

Sad though she was eliminated because I thought she had the most potential and best looking in the house.

Anyhow, I like Shannon even more now. I respect her brand and I understand when she says lingerie means intimacy, something you wear underneath your clothes or shown to your husband. I totally get her!
She's better off eliminated rather than be pushed around doing things she's not comfortable doing!
