High Heel Dash 2015, Publika

I know you have heard of races, marathon, walkathon and jogathon. But have you heard of racing in High Heels? Haha sounds very intriguing huh?
The High Heel Dash is the first-ever high heel race in Malaysia, in support of women empowerment for all ladies who want to shatter the glass ceiling. This race is also for a good cause. You pay RM150 to participate in the race and the profit benefits The Women’s Aid Organisation in their effort to provide a safe shelter for female victims of abuse.

The High Heel Dash was held in Publika last Saturday and they even opened registration to men! So yes, you get to see men running in heels!

Choo Mei Sze, a cancer survivor was the brain behind this event and the emcee of the day.

That's my number. The event was sponsored by Malaysian Airlines hence the 'MH'.

My first run in heels!! Wee~

The dash was 50 metres long but there was a curve in the track so it's not a straight line. That's the hard part where most people slipped. All high heels must be 3 inches and above. No less! I had no prior training so I just ran as best I could haha Luckily didn't fall down!

Some of the participants dashing in heels...

There were many qualifying rounds throughout the day and those with the best time get to go to the finals. The entire day was filled with talks from inspirational people, there were booths selling food, beverages, etc and attractive lucky draws. And for a RM150 entrance fee, you get to bring home a goodie bag worth more than RM500!

It was definitely a one of a kind event. I had so much fun making new friends and seeing the guys being so sporting running in heels- all for a good cause =)

I think this should be a yearly event. Just don't slip, fall and twist your ankles =p

Spotted!

Okay I rarely post Asian celebrities fashion, but this is quite stunning not to post.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrived at the Jazbaa photo call during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival in an Oscar de la Renta dress.

She previously received plenty of negative comments on her weight after the birth of her first child. But look at her now. This is one hot mama! The dress could have looked better though without looking like bits and pieces of it dropping like it's been shredded haha.

Nevertheless she looked stunning. She is the definition of Indian beauty.

Clio New Tinted Tatoo Kill Brow

I'm all for 'less is more' makeup. The more natural the look, the better. These days, when I go to work, I have very minimal makeup on. Just sunblock, pressed powder, blush with eyebrow and I'm good to go. Sometimes when I'm in a mood, a hint of gloss to finish the makeup or when I'm in my utmost lazy days, not even a blush. But I realised, with minimal and natural look, the brow is quite an important feature to complete that 'no makeup' look. A groomed, perfectly lined eyebrow is key in a girl's daily life.

And Clio understands that very well! Certain brands do not invest much in eyebrow makeup. All they have is just a brow pencil with an occasional brush for a 2-in 1 pencil. Clio, on the other hand, realises that eyebrow is very important to every female. Of course, embroidery and getting a real eyebrow tattoo does not come without P-A-I-N. So, how do we exempt the pain but still get a 'tattoo-ed' eyebrow?

Introducing Clio Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow.
Clio had an event at Muse by Watsons, Sunway Pyramid to introduce this Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow. Unfortunately, that day Sunway Pyramid had somewhat of a power failure and the air conditioners in the entire mall were dysfunctional for quite some time. Everyone was sweating bucket loads including me with makeup melting at the event *so embarrassing* haha but the event has to go on, sweaty armpits or not.

Clio makeup range at Muse by Watsons.

The Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow.

Comes in 3 colours- Soft Brown, Earth Brown and Dark Brown.
This is a dual type tattoo brow with a tattoo pen and a brow mascara at both ends of the wand.

This is the first 3 in 1 Kill Brow that can complete colouring, shaping and tattoo all at once. It's tattoo through tanning and not with pigmentation. It naturally makes skin brown by reacting to amino acids in the skin just like skin tan! A-ha! Never heard of before, huh? Further, this is a super resilient waterproof brow makeup that is water and sweat proof with Cross Combination Network film.

Their trained makeup artist demonstrated the right way to use Clio cosmetics on that day including the right way to use the Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow to complete the look.

First up, Clio Kill Cover Liquid Founwear cushion for even coverage.

Then Clio Brightener to enhance nose bridge, cheeks and chin.

Then the Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow for eyebrows.

I will re-demonstrate the use of the brow below.

Eyeliner.

Pen eyeshadow.

Mascara.

Blusher.

And finally the most rave about Clio lipnicure which is smudge proof and kiss proof!

The look is now complete to step out like a Korean star hehe!

So focusing now on the Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow, here's my review on it.

I'm using the Soft Brown colour.

On one end is the Tattoo Pen and the other is the Mascara brow.

The tattoo pen has actually very light colour. This is because it will actually tan your skin in the long run like tattoo.

Just draw it on the brow like usual.

Left- with Tinted Tatoo Kill Brow. Right-None
The colour is very natural and light. It creates shape and contour.

This tattoo pen can actually be used in two ways:

-For tattooing:
After cleansing at night, before skin care, draw your desired eye brow shape along the eyebrow line. It tans your eyebrow skin during sleep (about 8 hours) so that your eyebrow shape will look flawless even after cleansing in the morning. When retouching the brows, just draw again with the added mascara and you're good to go. Use it 2-3 days straight and the tattoo effect will last longer.

-For Makeup:
Use it like a normal eyebrow pencil for a natural and fine eyebrow.

The brow mascara has darker liquid for added texture.

Just swipe it on the brow to hold hair in place and to add definition and volume.

Left- with Tinted Tatoo Kill Brow. Right-None
See how the brow becomes visible and shapes the face.

Used on both brows now.

The after effect. No makeup, Just Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow =)

Now I feel more confident going out with just a drawn brow.

See the difference yourself.
Left- No drawn brow. Right- drawn with Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow
I look washed out without eyebrows on the left and on the right, the brows made my feature stand out.
Told you that a groomed, perfectly drawn brow is definitely key in a girl's daily life.

It is long lasting as if it were tattooed on and saves you the time to look presentable with neat eyebrows.

Clio Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow retails for RM 95.30 at Muse by Watsons.

Ido's Revlite facial laser treatment

I'm back at Ido's for a second Revlite laser treatment. Read about my first time HERE.

So, as always I'm very concerned about my pores due to my oily skin. So I consulted the doctor once again and mentioned about my pores and she told me that she would laser more around my pores area to tighten it. The laser would activate collagen in my skin to reduce my pore size.

Selfie in the consultation room before the laser treatment hehe

The second time around wasn't that bad. I already knew the pain effect so I was prepared for it. Besides, the procedure didn't take long. It's only around 10-15 minutes.

Since after laser, my skin would be dry, I was recommended to have the MEDKARE facial wrap for added whitening and anti-ageing results.

Three ampoules being mixed together to form a solution to be applied on my face with a facial wrap. The rest of the leftover solution was given to me in this small tub to be brought home to be used three days after the facial.
Price: RM106(inclusive GST)

Results?

Left(before), Right (after)
With the laser treatment and the MEDKARE aftercare, the pores on my forehead shrunk, my skin is brighter and overall less oily.

I was very happy with the results. This is only the second time with the laser treatment and I could see vast improvements in my skin.

(no edit)
My overall skin condition improved and much brighter looking ^^

The Revlite laser treatment costs RM600 per session.

Of being a dessert-a-holic

I don't know if there's such a word, but I'm a self proclaimed dessert-a-holic haha

So I was sick in the beginning of last week, nursing a bad sore throat and headache

Doctor's order- medication and rest

So, after recovering I was on a roll with a week full of desserts haha

First up, do you know Home Town steamboat restaurant has a fondue platter? For RM20 you get a very fulling platter of 10 scoops of ice cream, fruits, tit bits and of course, melted chocolate in between. Yummeh and it's very fulfilling!

Hah! Who could resist Starbucks Buy 1 Free 1 offer? Hehe
Dark Mocha Panna Cotta on the left and Cotton Candy Frappucino on the right.
Not a fan of the Dark Mocha because it's layered with Italian style pudding and drinking pudding with dark mocha felt weird. Cotton Candy just tastes like Strawberry milkshake.

Moving on, we caught Avengers in One Utama, so decided to drop by 'Just Pie'.
Are you a fan of pies? I'm not until I started tasting these small stores in malls selling yummy pies.

Chicken Cheese pie (RM8.40)
This tasted so good and one pie is even enough for brunch! It's quite a decent portion filled with stuffings that melts in your mouth with a burst of flavours. The crust was thin and it's heated before serving making it a perfect meal.

Red Velvet pie (RM 13.70)
I couldn't resist anything with red velvet. Since I've never tried a red velvet pie before, I had to get this haha It tasted great but the base crumb was a bit hard. Quite pricey as well.

For pie lovers, this is definitely one to try,

After watching the Avengers, we went to Franco, Ground Floor, old wing of One Utama. I heard quite good reviews on this so I decided to try it out myself. It is a fusion of French and Japanese delivering casual fine dining cuisine.

Spaghetti Yumeina (RM27.17)
Their 'secret' broth with mushrooms, ham and a poached egg broken in it made it a very juicy pasta. It's a plate big enough for two!

Franco French Toast (RM16.79)
My my, this is one French toast made in heaven haha. I have never tasted any French toast which is this good. The bread was soft and fluffy with maple syrup dripping and the whipped cream was the cream of the crop! This is a MUST TRY in Franco.

Another must try is their carbonara which looked really yummy and their desserts.
Pricing is a bit steep but definitely worth it.

Ending the post with beautiful blue Iris ordered from 'Happy Bunch' =)
Beautiful surprise at work ^^

Aren't they gorgeous?

A very 'full' week indeed hehe
