I was at last year's Great Guardian Makeover and had so much fun that I came back this year!
This time it is themed 'My Date with Beauty'.
Guardian understands the value of looking good and feeling great and has successfully organised the yearly Guardian Makeover since 2008. Each year, the number of participants grew and while learning the make-up and skincare tips, participants found it fun and engaging.
To be entitled for this makeover, customers who purchase RM20 and above including one participating brand in a single receipt are entitled to one Makeover Ticket at RM10 to join this Makeover event.
The customer would get to have a makeover, a photo session and a goody bag.
The event was held at One Utama, Concourse, Ground Floor (Old Wing)
I absolutely love this quote:
'Beauty is being the best possible version of you on the inside out'
The centre stage.
The itinerary for two days of the event- 5th and 6th of April.
So you can still join the fun tomorrow!
In total there are 18 participating brands.
These brands each had a booth at the Concourse place as well.
You can actually get quite good deals with their promotions. Discounts, best buys, buy 1 free 1, you name it, they have it there. It's quite a beauty haven at the event!
and many more including Maybelline New York, Alcon, Bio Essence, BioGrow Oat BG22, Biore, Blackmores, Brands, Dermatix, Enchanteur, Nano White, Neutrogena, Nivea, Palmer's and Safi.
This event was hosted by JD and Dilly from MixFM.
The opener was a dance performance and they were dancing to Pharell's 'Happy' song!
The dancers were so energetic and happy!
And it ended with a pop of confetti.
Photo taking session with the dancers, makeup and hair artists and the VVIPs.
Hair and makeup for the makeover were by A Cut Above Academy.
A total of 20 hair stylists and make-up artists were there to attend to all participants for the day.
Each person entitled for the makeover can choose between nude make-up or glam make-up.
I chose Katie Holmes' glam make-up =))

Getting ready for my makeover.
After make-up, each participant is now to choose a hairstyle.
There are three styles for long and short hair each.
I wanted something different so I chose Diane Kruger's braided hairstyle!
Getting my hair braided. I have never braided my hair O.o
My hairstylist at work hehe
Braid at one side and curl on the other.
Ta-dah!! I absolutely love my hairstyle ^^
My make-up although I opted for the glam look, it was not glam enough so to say but I still like that it was not over the top.
Other media/participants getting their makeover done!
The media were then invited to Dave's Deli for brunch and it was yummy!!
It's been a long time since I've been there.
Went back to the Concourse and there was a demonstration on Air Brush Make-up by A Cut Above.
Caught up with the other media/bloggers.
Thank you Guardian for the Makeover and for making all the girls at the event feel beautiful =)
Have I mentioned I really like my hair? LOL
I felt extra cool with the braid going on like I'm going to burst out into a rap anytime soon =p
Check it out!
So, if you really love selfies, why not join in two online contests by Guardian!
Firstly, there's a PhotoBox Contest on Facebook whereby participants need to post creatively with the given props provided by Guardian at the Makeover event. 'Like' the Guardian Facebook page and look for your photo in the 'Photo Box Contest' photo album. Tag yourself on the photo and upload it as your Facebook profile picture. The lucky winner wins a Designer Bag worth RM1,640.
Another one is the Instagram Contest where participants need to follow Guardian on Instagram. Snap a selfie and submit the photo and in not more than 20 words tell Guardian 'What makes you beautiful'. Tag @guardianmalaysia and #GuardianBeauties and you are on your way for a chance to win a Designer Bag worth RM1,140.
Seems like fun? Head over tomorrow to One Utama for the Makeover!
Beautify yourself, have fun at the event and who knows you might even win a Designer Bag =)
