Hong Kong Disneyland Park

On checkout day from Disneyland Hotel, we went to the park. It was a Monday so it wasn't too crowded. That being said, there were still many people in the park. But just keep this in mind, you may want to plan your park visit during winter instead of summer because boy, were we sunburnt at the end of the day! It was shining wayy too brightly and we underestimated the sun in Hong Kong.

It doesn't help that you have to keep wearing your masks while being all sweaty and sticky and imagine queuing up for rides under that weather. Luckily, we went on a weekday where the queue was still bearable and we came prepared with cold disposable towels from Don Don Donki and brought a mini fan and water was a lifesaver.

Now, let's get into the park! It's not huge so you can definitely explore the entire park within a day.

The castle was previously renovated and is now as beautiful as ever!
If you're a Marvel fan, there is a wing specifically for Marvel fans.

We started off with the Ant Man and the Wasp ride which was quite fun because we get to play some laser tag while at it and earn points and you can compare among your friends hehe

Then there's the Iron Man experience. It was a 4D experience.

I love both Marvel rides because they really had the characters talking to you just for these rides and special appearances too. You have to ride it to know hehe.

There were 2 most scary rides in the park for me. The first being the Hyperspace Mountain.
If you're scared of roller coaster then maybe this is not for you haha because you don't see people shouting outside like normal roller coaster rides as this was indoor so you don't know what is it about until you ride it haha..but when you ride it, it is too late LOL It was real fun though!

Then we went to the 'It's a small world' wing and gahh, the whole setup was soo beautiful!
Just look at this background! The amount of details!

The ride was quite fun and very suitable for kids. But if you're scared of dolls, maybe this is not for you lol After a scary ride, it was good to sit through this beautiful ride.

Then we met Winnie The Pooh!!
Unfortunately due to Covid, we are not able to hug or stand near the characters to take picture. They could only stand at the background *sad*

We then went on the Winnie The Pooh ride which was also really just for kids.

Then there's performances to watch.
Saw so many characters that day =))

Watched Mickey and the Wondrous Book in the theatre. At that point, we just wanted to sit indoors with aircond because the heat was getting to us.

Then we stopped for some lunch.
There were many bakery selling so many cute stuffs. I got this Minnie doughnut hehe

Now the second most scary ride was this Big Grizzly Mountain ride.
Roller coaster lovers, this ride is for you hahaha!

Then there's the parade!

The parade was quite disappointing though. The characters just danced repetitively throughout.

It was a far cry from Paris Disneyland. In Paris, they had performances during the parade and at the end of the day, there were fireworks and animations at the castle. In Hong Kong, there were no animations at the castle and no fireworks *sad* Plus, there were more rides that cater to children than adults in HK. But if you're here just to be among the characters and enjoy the environment, it is definitely a good experience nonetheless.

If you stay at the hotel, the hotel would even drop off your luggage at the entrance of the park so that you don't need to go back to the hotel to collect your luggage when you go back. Overall, before you go into HK Disneyland Park, check the weather. The weather is quite erractic here. It could be raining and it will spoil your experience and if it's too hot, prepare umbrella, sunscreen, fan and water. All in all, remember to just have fun!

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel

I've always dreamt of celebrating my birthday in any Disneyland Hotel. And when I knew we were migrating to Hong Kong and there's a Hong Kong Disneyland just an hour and a half from where we live, I was determined to spend my birthday there hehe

Luckily, Hong Kong Disneyland opened back mid April 2022 after the whole pandemic closure and they had some exciting offers. I took the birthday package which consisted of a night's stay in the Hotel with park tickets which we used the next day.

To reach HK Disneyland was very easy. There's connecting trains all the way until Disneyland Resort. The final train to Disneyland even had Mickey shaped windows and handles.

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel backdrop =)

We booked the Kingdom Club Room which means we had access to the lounge. The check in was also done at the lounge and we were served some snacks and drinks during check in.

Since it was my birthday, I got a badge and if any staff saw me, they will greet me Happy Birthday hahaha

We were given the room cards and off we went to our room!

The Kingdom Club Room was quite huge. You have the option of choosing 1 king size bed or 2 double beds. We chose the king size.

The toiletries were the 7 dwarfs.

The bathtub which we fully made use of during our stay haha

Birthday greeting.

Our view

You can walk around the hotel and take some beautiful scenic pictures.

The popular garden maze.

There's cocktail hour at the lounge from 5-7.30pm

Some snacks were provided to go with the drinks.

And right after that we had a booking for buffet dinner at The Enchanted Garden restaurant LOL Imagine how much we ate just in one day >.<

Fresh sashimis

The seafood station. I never left this station hahaha

Lobster!!!

Mussels!

Prawns!

Crabs!

Snails.

US Prime Beef cooked right in front of you.
The pairing of the mint sauce was absolutely delicious.

Mickey waffles for dessert!

Their soft serve was yummy too.

I had wayy too much crabs that day that I didn't even have much stomach left for dessert and skipped the cakes LOL

We also got to meet some Disney characters during the buffet dinner.
Due to covid, we were unable to stand near the characters so we could only take a picture from a distance LOL

Mickey Mouse!

After that, we went back to the room and drew a hot bath for myself!

And then we called it a night with a super full stomach haha

The next day morning woke up to...
Eat again!! hahaha Breakfast buffet at the lounge.

How cute is my breakfast plate hehe

And then we checked out and went to the Disneyland Park which will be in the next post.

I absolutely enjoyed the staycation though a short one. I think the Kingdom Club Room was very worth it because the lounge is ever ready with food from morning until night 11pm and there's even cocktail hours. It was a great experience to celebrate a special occasion in Disney =)
