Indobowl- perfect for Indomie lovers

Indomie as previously mentioned in my previous post is my ultimate comfort food. Everytime I go overseas, I come back craving for Indomie because it's the best instant noodle ever!

Branching out from Tryst Cafe is the new outlets of Indobowl. One is at Lakefields and the other at SS15 Subang Jaya.

I went to the Lakefields outlet for the food review. It was raining Indomie that day. Woo-hoo!

It's a very cozy environment for hangout or for a dating place.

Too much food <3
Warning: Do not read this post when you're hungry hehe

Went straight for the Mumbo Jumbo (RM59).
It consists of 4 packets of Indomie, chicken madura, lamb rack, rib eye and 2 pieces of chicken satay.

Good for a group of 3-4 people.
But I think there was too much meat and too little Indomie hehe. But good for guys who are meat lovers. The lamb rack was my favourite meat. Very delicious from the meat to the bone.

The dry instant noodle which is sweet and savoury and just eating it plain satisfies my cravings. But Indobowl spices things up a bit with 3 different types of sambal. They have Sambal Merah, Sambal Hijau and Sambal Matah. Sambal Matah has a lot of onions in it so it's not really my cup of tea. The red and green sambal depends on your preference. The red one is spicier so it's definitely my choice hehe.

Indomie Soto Seafood jumbo (RM39.90)
Suitable for 3-4 people.

It was a bit spicy sourish. If you like the soupy noodle, this is for you.
I am definitely more for the dry Indomie.

Nasi Dendeng Daging (RM10)
Rice with slices of spiced beef braised, dried then grilled.
It was tender, succulent and delicious. Those who are rice lovers, this is highly recommended. And that egg...mm...

Nasi Goreng Ayam Balado (RM12)
The fried rice was very tasty and very Indonesian style. The chicken was spicy because of the red sambal but if you prefer the green one, you can opt for Nasi Goreng Ayam Cabe Ijo. The chicken is tender, meaty and cooked to perfection.

My favourite was the new salted egg chicken dish (RM11.90).
Since salted egg is a hype nowadays, it is only right to jump on the bandwagon haha

The salted egg chicken was very flavourful and together with the dried Indomie, it was a match made in heaven dish. I tried the salted egg flavour packet Indomie before and did not really like it. But this one was good with the salted egg flavour being only in the chicken and the Indomie flavour maintained.

Their signature drinks- Ice cendol and soda gembira. RM9 for upsized drinks.
Soda gembira is a mix of sirap bandung with berudu.

I'm not much of a milk person so the soda gembira was my favourite.

What's a meal without desserts?

Ropang chocolate.
Chocolate bread with cheese.

Ropang corn.
Corn bread with cheese. This was my fave. The creamy corn with the cheese on top was the icing of the meal <3

Come over during lunch time for their set lunch menu which is really worth it.

Haruharu- fermentation technology skincare

Before the invention of refrigerators, Korea developed and adapted fermentation techniques that enable food to be kept over a long period of time. In the past, medicines and cosmetics used by women at the royal chambers adopted the same method. With the growing trend of natural and traditions of the past, more cosmetics products are created using traditional ways for its established reputation of safe, non-invasive and harmless method.

Attended a beauty workshop by Haruharu which was very informative.

Over the years, one of the latest trend in skincare is fermented beauty products. The concept, originated from Korea basically involves fermentation of natural plant based ingredients such as ginseng, tea, flowers and herbs. Developed by Korea's top notch natural fermentation experts of OK Bio Lab, Haruharu debuts Malaysia with the Wonder Skincare series and Haruharu Prologue mask series that are formulated to suit the lifestyle of users and to address the common signs of dull tone, aging and dry skin problems that most women have.

Haruharu Wonder skincare series.

The fermentation technology adopted in Haruharu helps to lessen surface tension, breaks down the molecular structure of ingredients which makes the nutrients more concentrated to allowing better in-depth and rapid absorption into cells. Besides, this method also produces excellent moisture absorption from natural emulsifying agent that helps retain moisture and smooth texture of the products.

Haruharu also uses the patented natural liposome technology. Natural liposome is a patented biotechnological delivery system that transfers active ingredients that allows in-depth penetration into cells for better absorption.

Each Product series comes with a mask and a cream:

Wonder Maqui Berry Anti-Oxidant Cream
Infused with extract of fermented Maqui Berry for anti-aging and skin regeneration. Maqui Berry's antioxidant index is 400 times higher than any other berries. It activates vascular cells and has excellent skin regeneration function and antibacterial antioxidant effect. More on Maqui Berry below in the Prologue masks.

Wonder Honey Green Reparative Cream
Contains extract of fermented Green tea with Honey, Schizandra Chinensis Fruits Extract that functions as anti inflammatory, anti aging and skin regeneration and hydration agents.

Wonder Honey Green Aqua Bomb Cream
The Aqua Bomb cream is gel like and very hydrating. In fact, I think this is my favourite among all!

Wonder Honey Green Brilliant Cream
Brilliant as its name suggest, it has green tea and honey extracts for skin brightening, minimize wrinkles and hydration.

I realised after testing out all the creams, all of them absorbs very fast into skin and it's like you have not added any cream on face after 30 seconds. No sticky feeling whatsoever. Even when my hand has tried, tested and piled on creams after creams, it does not have a thick and sticky feeling. I was very amazed and very suitable for my oily skin =)

There is no day and night cream concept. As there are four different types of cream, you can also use 2 creams to mix at the same time or 1 cream in the day and another in the night depending on your skin's needs. They won't 'fight' with each other. The above travel size tube is RM59.00 each. Super convenient to just drop it in your bag while travelling for a quick fix =)

It also comes in a big coffee cup size of 90g for RM139.00. The Wonder series caters to mid 20-30s age group individuals and the Haruharu Wonder mask comes in an inspired take-away coffee cup design because most people drink coffee daily. The coffee cup symbolises their 'Daily life' motif. It is a brand aimed to coincide with the user's lifestyle.

As mentioned, each cream series has their own mask.
It costs RM10.90 per mask sheet.

Tried the honey Green Aqua Bomb mask.

It has Moso Bamboo charcoal powder in the mask sheet which is environmental friendly. This one and the Honey Green Brilliant one has charcoal powder. I felt my skin super moisturised after that which is true to its name of Aqua Bomb. And good for Halloween too, no? Haha

I even did an experiment at home using a piece of bread. This experiment was inspired during the beauty workshop.

I spreaded Haruharu Wonder Honey Green Brilliant cream on one half side of the bread...

...and then with Brand X on the other half.

Thereafter, I toasted the bread.

The result!
I tore a bit of the side of the part with Wonder cream to mark it. As you can see, the one with the Wonder cream did not burn and was not brown. The other half with Brand X as you can see was brownish burnt. Which means to say that the Wonder cream protected the bread's surface even under scorching heat.

The behind part was totally burnt without cream LOL Amazing right? Seeing how the cream protected the bread's surface gave me confidence that it can protect my skin too =)

Another series in the HaruHaru skincare is the Prologue Mask series. Super cute mask series with superhero pictures.

 RM12.90 per mask sheet
Haruharu the superhero fighting away skin problems hehe

Incorporating world-class and environmental friendly technology infused with world's top 5 super food, the king of super berry from the Chilean Alpine as listed by The Telegraph UK in year 2017, Maqui Berry together with fermented honey and green tea extracts, the Haruharu skincare series complete these formulations that improves up to 8 times of the original ingredient's benefit. Alpine environment is the worst environment for all wild life. Only the Maqui Berry survived the heavy snowfall, cold wind and temperature differences up to 33 degrees Celsius. Hence why Maqui Berry is used in the Haruharu series.

It includes:

Maqui Berry Lifting Mask-
Contains fermented Maqui Berry with antioxidants, reducing wrinkles and firming functions.

Maqui Berry Brightening Mask-
Reduces wrinkles and fine lines, brightening skin and uneven skin colour for makeup

Maqui Berry Soothing Mask-
Infused with fermented Maqui Berry for sensitive skin and wrinkles

Maqui Berry Moisture Mask-
Best for dry, flaky, wrinkles, dull skin and revitalizes skin for a younger and fresher look.

Each sheet contains a bottle of ampoule (25ml). The mask is also made of ultra microfibre sheet, 100 times thinner than a strand of hair. It holds tight to all skin surface including tiny curves as you can see how the mask hugs one of the male blogger's face when testing out the mask hehe.

The Haruharu skincare product series are now available for sale in various SENHENG outlets such as in Pandan Jaya, SS2, USJ Taipan, Kepong, Bukit Tinggi and Setia Alam and coming soon in 2019 at selected Watsons store nationwide. Why SenHeng you may ask. We were surprised too when we found it that it's sold in SenHeng outlets. It is also part of their motif of 'Daily life' just like the coffee cup design. Naturally, we users shop for daily necessities in SenHeng and the brand wants to cater to those to provide them with a skincare solution in SenHeng. Cool right?

You can also buy online at https://i-m-pine.com or connect with the brand's social media pages at http://www.facebook.com/haruharumalaysia/ and http://www.instagram.com/haruharumalaysia/

/skin regimen/ First in Asia

Skin Regimen is taking the world by storm following its global launch in Europe from February 2018. Arriving in Asia at Kuala Lumpur, with the opening of a retail counter at One Utama shopping mall, Skin Regimen is giving beauty aficionados who live in the modern cities a cutting edge approach to regain skin health.

The reason the packaging is only black and white is because this brand is for unisex so it's not gender bias.

Skin Regimen is a contemporary skincare system for the urban dwellers, developed by the Davines Group skincare division. The city’s environment and pace of life forms the backdrop for Skin Regimen. It is clinically proven to reduce the effects of stress, pollution and lifestyle aging on both skin and mind.

The first store opening in Asia- in One Utama

Working at the cellular level, Skin Regimen Modern Plant Chemistry™ formulation recreates and maintains the optimal conditions for a healthy, youthful and glowing skin, while empowering the overall mind-skin stress response. Featured throughout Skin Regimen products is the Longevity Complex™ - an exclusive mix of organic superfood extracts with anti-inflammatory, powerful antioxidants, antiglycation, boosting beta-endorphins and methylation influencing high tech molecules.

The skincare range comprises a collection of ten unisex products that is designed to mix and match for desired countenance. We are all unique and so is our skin. Designed to be functional and effective, Skin Regimen multi-tasks while being specific to one’s skin needs. The 4-step custom Skin Regimen schematic includes:

Step 1: Prepare
Gentle cleansing to effectively remove makeup, impurities and in particular pollution residues on skin and SPF.

Step 2: Recharge
An energizing phase to restore optimal hydration and empower the skin’s cellular vitality.

Step 3: Correct
Target the common stress-related skin imperfections with pure and concentrated ingredients.

Step 4: Reset
Innovative overnight skin detoxing regimen for a regenerated skin in the morning.

Since it's packaging is recyclable and environmental friendly, we had a terrarium making class. Yay!

We were given a package each to make our very own terrarium with air plant.

Tadah! Mine =)

I also had the privilege to try some of the products.

Cleansing cream-RM178
Vit C Booster- RM488

The cream cleanser is said to remove makeup, SPF, dust and smoke and acts as a cleanser as well. I find it very convenient because then I do not need to remove my makeup and then cleanse when I can do them both at the same time. But, the most prominent thing is the scent when you first cleanse your skin.

It contains the below essential oils:

-Juniper
-Copahu
-Rosewood
-Cedarwood

It is clinically proven to improve the mind-skin stress response. They even conducted a study with those who uses Skin Regimen products and those with placebo products and they found out, those who uses Skin Regimen products handles stress better than those who don't. How cool is that? The aroma itself is a very big part of skincare!

The unique thing about this Vit C booter is that it separates the powder and the serum. Only upon usage, we pour the powder sachet into the serum, shake it and it is only effective for 1 month thereafter.

I find it watery and easily absorbed into skin. It acts as a brightening concentrate. Ideal to correct dark spots, uneven tone and dullness. I can't wait to see more results after 1 month of usage hehe

Preweddingmoon Part 4 in Dubai

When I was booking my flight through skyscanner, I saw that the flight from Istanbul back to Malaysia via Emirates had 2 types of transit in Dubai airport. One is a short 2 hour transit and the other is a 5 hour transit. I thought to myself that I have never seen Dubai yet and maybe we should take the 5 hour transit and take a short tour around Dubai to see the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa =)

We were determined to do what we did when we had an 8 hour transit in Heathrow and went on a short tour in London City. I mean the rushing, the adrenaline, the excitement and being able to see a different city even for just a short while is something I love haha

But all these took quite a bit of planning. Firstly, I knew our flight would stop at Dubai airport close to midnight. I wasn't sure if there was anything to see at midnight and whether Burj Khalifa can even be seen at midnight LOL Then, I wasn't sure if the taxi prices will escalate due to midnight charges because we need to know how much Dirham to change. As it is, we had to change to Swiss Franc, Euro, Turkish Lira and then now Dirham. Imagine how many different types of currencies we had with different exchange rates LOL and the most important part was whether 5 hour is enough to go through immigration, go out to the city and come back through immigration again without missing our flight.

But as the title tells, we managed it all HAHA Again, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. While researching through google, I roughly knew we are able to make it back within 5 hours. We just have to rush a bit. Firstly, when we touched down in Dubai airport, we knew we had to rush to go through immigration. We didn't know how long immigration would take because this is an unpredictable variable. Although it is midnight and it is supposed to be lesser people but Dubai airport never sleeps! And what we didn't predict was that Dubai airport was super HUGE!! We literally jogged for like 20 minutes before reaching the immigration. It was so damn far haha By the time we reached, we were already panting and tired *laughs*

Luckily immigration didn't delay us any longer. We then quickly booked an Uber to Burj Khalifa. Our Uber is a Lexus car <3. Why Uber in other people's country so cool?! The airport to Burj Khalifa only took us around 15-20 minutes because there was no jam at night.

And my camera's battery decided to die here, of all places -.- pissed me off hence the low quality phone pictures LOL

But anyway, I finally managed to see this famous building I saw in Fast & Furious movie.

Gorgeous, isn't it?

The most shocking part was the weather. It was 32 degrees celcius at night, super humid, hot and stuffy. My gawd. We were from the airport, with our jacket and long jeans etc and we had to take our jackets off and were sweating when we first stepped out of the Uber. We learnt that early September is one of the most humid weather in Dubai >.< Just our luck. When we reached Switzerland, it was raining and snow rained in the mountains, Santorini we were sunburnt, Turkey was raining as well and Dubai, the hottest part of the season LMAO!

We couldn't stand any longer, so decided to enter the mall. I also read somewhere that there's a huge aquarium in the mall and we decided to quickly find for it before it closes.

Here we are!

It was huge, beautiful and so many different sea animals! It is a 10 million litre aquarium tank, one of the largest suspended aquariums in the world! So happy managed to see this =)

After that, we took a taxi back to the airport. Our timing was quite perfect actually and we even had spare time in the airport. That concluded our preweddingmoon journey in Europe!

Emirates is the best airline thus far.
Of all the 8 flights we took in that 2 weeks, Emirates was the friendliest, comfortable and on time flight. They even had 1 hour free wifi to use in flight. So cool!

So stoked that we experienced so many cities, so many cultures, so many weathers also hehe and best of all, managed to sneak in our preweddingshoot. It's definitely an experience of a lifetime.
