Ecoparadise Antioxidant Hot Bed Therapy

It has been a very long week!! Was feeling under the weather for the past week with two visits to the doctors and I just needed some pampering session. Thanks to The Butterfly Project in collaboration with Worthy Book, they held a bloggers session at Ecoparadise, Gardens Mid Valley to try out the Antioxidant Hot Bed Therapy.

Actually, this would be my third time trying out the Hot Bed Therapy. Read about my detailed first session HERE.

Although it's my third time already, I still never get bored of doing this. This is probably the best pampering place to go to after a stressful week and since I am too lazy to work out, this is also a great place to sweat and lose weight without actually working out =p

Ms. Vivien spoke to us about the benefits of the Hot Bed Therapy.

Free radicals is bad for health and can lead to numerous health problems. Unfortunately, free radicals is something we cannot avoid. It comes from air pollution, stress, unhealthy diet, UV rays, phone radiation, etc which are things that we are exposed to every single day.

Antioxidant negates free radicals. It releases the toxins from our body and can prevent various health problems such as allergies, insomnia, acnes, asthma, etc. The Hot Bed Therapy rooms emit antioxidants into the air. All you have to do is lie on the tile for forty minutes, take in the antioxidant air, sweat out all the dirty toxins and you will feel rejuvenated and refreshed!

It is something like sauna but not sauna because sauna rooms are hot and humid and may be quite difficult to breathe in there. However, the Hot Bed Therapy rooms are hot with controlled level of humidity to ease breathing and for a relaxing time.

So I got changed into my outfit and ready to sweat out all the toxins that has been keeping me sick for a week!

I sweated so much that even the tiles had was so wet when I got up LOL
With my heart rate beating faster, it will also improve my blood circulation.
If you didn't know, you would have thought I ran a marathon and came back =p

Showered and got dressed and I really felt so much better and so refreshed!
Thank you Ecoparadise for having us! My third visit but definitely not my last. Will visit again soon <3
Special thanks as well to The Butterfly Project and Worthy Book!

What a saddening week it has been. After 17 days of search, the Prime Minister of Malaysia has finally announced that flight MH370 has ended in the Indian Ocean. The physical plane is yet to be found but it was announced that there are no survivors.

News all over the world is reporting on this tragedy, all radio stations are paying tributes to the passengers, songs are gloomy and I cannot imagine how the family and friends of the passengers are feeling right now. We can only pray that God will strengthen them through this all and that we can obtain closure and find out what actually happened to the flight.

We should also pray for the safety of the rescue team because the Indian Ocean is known for strong waves and bad weather and hopefully there will be closure soon.

TV series

Down with meds unfortunately =(( It's probably the combination of the bad weather these days, the super cold air cond in the office and the lack of drinking water.
But lucky thing it's the weekend and I can rest it out!

Another good thing is TV series to kill time hehe...I haven't been keeping up to date with any of my favourite TV series. I have lost touch with the likes of Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy, Nikita and what nots. If I watch the latest episodes now I'll be lost with what happened previously.

So the best series to just watch when you're free without the need to keep up to date with the story lines are comedy/reality shows!

My favourites:

The Voice!!
The blind auditions were cray cray!! Filled with so much humour I think it cured me straightaway LMAO!

I have been watching this comedy on and off since Season 1 and I am so happy Season 9 finally revealed the mother!

Modern Family is another great comedy. I love the little girl, Lily!!

Any of the above can uplift anyone's mood hehe
Especially since I am unwell
Happy Weekend everybody xx

What a terrible tragedy to have such a huge airplane disappear just like that around 50 minutes after takeoff from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Beijing.

To respect all parties especially the families of those who were on board, we should stop any speculation and stop spreading rumours. The worst ever false rumour was that the plane had landed in Naning when it had not. Spreading such terrible false news is detrimental to all parties and give people false hope.

What we can do as citizens is to pray for proper closure. Hopefully some proper news of the location of the plane can be heard by tomorrow.

Happy International Women's Day

To all women out there, you are beautiful, strong and courageous and do not let anyone tell you otherwise!
Let's take a look at some of the beautiful women who are not only talented yet carry themselves with elegance at the Oscar's after party. I wish I could wear designer dresses like them too =p

Kate Hudson changed into this Zuhair Murad Couture for the after party.

Miranda Kerr joined the after party in this silver plunging neckline Kaufmanfranco dress.
This is one hot mama!

Anna Kendrick redeemed herself from the Oscars red carpet dress to this beautiful Atelier Versace.

Evan Rachel Wood is sparkling in this green Elie Saab Couture Gown!

Ellie Kemper stuns in a sweet pink Georges Hobeika.

Oscars 2014 red carpet

The annual Academy Awards had many big names on the red carpet with designer gowns. This year, subtlety seems to be the theme as no one really came in an elaborate gown. Many kept it simple.

Anne Hathaway in a simple halter Gucci dress.

Jennifer Garner in a fringe silver Oscar de la Renta piece.

Jennifer Lawrence in a striking red Christian Dior.

Kate Hudson wearing an Atelier Versace with plunging neckline and a cape. It's a rather unique dress which is great!

Amy Adams in a night blue Gucci. This dress really accentuate her svelte figure and she didn't need a dramatic dress to stand out. From her hair to the dress, the look is so classy!

Jada Pinkett Smith in a beautiful shade of pink Versace's dress.

Naomi Watts kept it simple in a Calvin Klein Collection dress.
One look at it and it's no surprise that it's CK. Most CK dresses are simple with not much detailing.

Charlize Theron in a Christian Dior haute couture dress with invisible straps.
At first glance, I thought the dress looked weird with the bustier shaped like that but knowing that it had straps made it look better.

Jessica Biel wearing Chanel Haute Couture.

Emma Watson in Vera Wang. I really think at her young age, she should experiment with fashion more rather than keeping it simple and boring. Would love something more elaborate on her.

Sandra Bullock wearing an Alexander McQueen dress.
Gosh! She wore this dress with such elegance. I love how a simple tube gown can be a little more elaborate with some detailing.

Penelope Cruz in a Giambattista Valli dress.
This shade of pink is so young looking and fantastic on her.

Lupita Nyong'O stuns in a custom made Prada. The Grecian-style design paired with a pretty headband looks effortless on her. This is her first time at the Oscars and she took home the Best Supporting Actress for her stint in 12 Years a Slave. She's not only an Academy Award winner but a winner on the red carpet as well. The dress is flowy and the baby blue suits her skin tone so well and she has been a favourite on the red carpet ever since award season started.

Lady Gaga has really cleaned up her fashion sense and seen here wearing an Atelier Versace dress. Love how it is structured and fits her perfectly!

Kristin Chenoweth in Roberto Cavalli. Another mermaid dress which suits petite people like her well. It's a perfect fit without drowning her small frame.

Idina Menzel who is now famously Adele Hazeem thanks to John Travolta is wearing a Vera Wang dress.

Anna Kendrick in a J Mendel dress. Again, for her young age, she should be experimenting with fashion on red carpet events rather than keeping it safe and simple. And that knee slit is weird.

Cate Blachett, winner of Best Actress is wearing an Armani Prive sleeveless nude gown with tons of Swarovski crystals.

Good looking couple Jenna wearing Reem Acra while Channing Tatum is wearing Gucci.

Matthew McConaughey, who won Best Actor in a Dolce&Gabbana tuxedo while his wife Camila Alves is pretty in pink in a Gabriela Cadena gown.

Kristen Bell is wearing a Roberto Cavalli dress while husband Dax Shepard is wearing head to toe John Varvatos.

Brad Pitt is charming in Tom Ford. Cannot say the same for Angelina Jolie who looks old in this unflattering Elie Saab dress.

Chris Hemsworth is wearing a David August tuxedo while wife Elsa Pataky is just all wrong in another Elie Saab dress. That is not how you show off your baby bump.

This is how a pregnant woman should dress! Olivia Wilde is in an all black Maison Valentino gown while Jason Sudekis is wearing Prada.

Have you watched the Oscars yet? Ellen Degeneres was a really good host! Her 'attack' on Jennifer Lawrence's falls were hilarious among others!

Modbox February edition!

Look what came for me early this week!

Yay! My favourite beauty box <3
My blogger kit was delivered straight to my doorstep and this time around, there was a surprise for me...

Modbox so generously gave me two beauty boxes filled with goodies this month *love* *love*

*gasp* My very own beauty haven!
Two boxes and yet it was overflowing and the Aqua Peeling Spray(in front) was too big to enter the box, it had to be wrapped separately in the parcel.
Modbox is going natural this month! Most of the products are made from natural plant extracts which is fantastic and chemical-free.

Let's take a peek in the first box.
This is the February edition. The other box was additional for blogger.
The February selections have four beauty brands with 5 different products.

(RM78 for 150ml)
This.Is.So.Worth.It.
It is a full size and spending RM9 for Modbox and getting this itself is a fantastic bargain!
It is properly wrapped as well so it won't leak.

It is an easy-to-use exfoliating face spray that's bursting with natural plant extracts.

Just spray on cleansed face and massage gently in a circular motion.
It is foamy and very gentle on skin.

The result: Dead skin residue forming and after washing, skin feels radiant and soft.

On top of that, Modbox has a discount code to purchase more Rescare products.

(RM35.90 for 60ml)
Another full size product! When you purchase Modbox this month, you can either choose this full size item or the Rescare spray.

This is a hair perfume which acts as a dry shampoo and the fragrance is quite strong.
Dirty greasy hair can be transformed to look clean and smell nice.
No blowdryer or water needed, the specially blended formula detoxifies hair, neutralizes odour and effectively cleaning hair in an instant while soothing the scalp.
This dry shampoo is particularly suitable for Hijab wearers.

Once again, another discount code!

(RM25.90 for 160g)
Note: first 30 orders which was fully redeemed will get the 20g sample. Others from now on will get a 5g sample

This toothpaste naturally increases saliva flow to prevent bacteria from multiplying.
It is very refreshing and I love toothpaste which is from natural extracts and this has 14 natural extracts in it!

(RM25.90 for 380ml)
After brushing and gargling, mouth and breath seems fresh and minty and most importantly, bacteria-free.

I received three Miacare products.
From the three, only the Acne Patch is available in the February selection.

Modbox very kindly included additional Miacare products for my review.

Let's start with Miacare Acne-Defense Spot Essence, 10ml
(RM24.90 for 10ml)
With patented anti-acne ingredients and natural plant extracts, it soothes the redness and inflammation, while preventing scar formation.

Look! Big bad bumpy acne =(

Just roll the essence directly on the acne.
With constant usage, acne will disappear in 3-4 days.

It is a colourless serum and not visible upon application.
It does have a slight scent which smells a bit like when you're in the clinic but it does not bother me because it is not strong.

Miacare Acne-Defense Concealer Stick, 1.2g
(RM19.90 for 1.2g)
Of course, with a pimple like that, you want to conceal it.
What better to conceal it while treating it at the same time.

This is a dual-function stick which helps to treat acne and soothe the redness and inflammation, while concealing it without clogging pores. Further, with the pen design, it comes in handy for emergency or touch-ups and slips perfectly into my handbag.
Just apply straight onto the acne to conceal the redness.

Although it does not hide the acne bump, but it does cover the redness of it.
Perhaps the concealer stick is better for non-bumpy acnes and great to hide scars!

For bumpy acnes and annoying ones with pus, the acne patch would be a better solution!
(RM9.90 for 12 patches)

Not only does it absorb all the icky pus for lightning-quick healing, it's also ultra-thin & highly invisible, so you can easily wear this under your makeup.

There is a step to step guide on how to use the patch.

After cleansing and drying the acne area, attach half the acne patch and release the paper.

This is a fantastic option to hide bumpy acnes and as you can see, it is highly invisible =)
On top of that, it is healing the acne at the same time.

After applying makeup, no one even knows you have an acne patch!
This is a super efficient way to hide acnes just before special occasions.
I really love the acne patch =)

<3 Miacare products for the solution to acnes!
Miacare products are available at Watsons and selected pharmacies.

Just a heads up, if you pick your products this month, you can only choose half the products of what you see above and two Miacare products are not available in the beauty box.
Also, if you love all the products, you can always buy two boxes and get all the products especially the full sized ones which is extremely worth it!
After all, it's only RM9 (excluding shipping) ^^
Cheapest beauty box around!
