Suicide is NOT the way!

Studies have shown that on average TWO people commit suicide DAILY in Malaysia. That's like A LOT!!

And most of them are teens and young adults. Even secondary school children are doing such acts! When I saw in the paper, a young student fell to her death in her very own school, I was shocked! I mean normally people commit suicide when they are alone and feeling depressed by themselves, then they start hanging themselves or jump from buildings, but she's among her friends and teachers!

Her friends and teachers must be very oblivious to her depression then. I mean people don't go on laughing with friends then jump down from the third floor right? Well, probably she didn't have any friends or someone to lend a shoulder.

I just want to say this; teens who hasn't lived life yet please don't go committing suicide or rather even contemplating on one! I know school can be harsh sometimes with the amount of homeworks, pressure of doing well in exams and peer pressure. Sometimes, when you add it all up together, it can be REALLY hard! I know because I was in high school too!

But I survived! So did many people in this world as well! Then you go on experiencing more things! There's so much in life to experience...many beautiful creation of God, meeting new people, travelling round the world, get married, have kids or whatever...

Don't you want to go to Paris someday and experience this??

Stress is just part of life but when you start living life and experience new things, you would actually be grateful to be born in this world! Hence, that's why fewer people in the older age group commit suicide. Because they must have many experiences, enjoyed most of it and want more of it, not ending it!

So, please don't go on ending your own life! Today may be a bad day but sleep on it and tomorrow will be a better day =) and yes, smile and laugh often too...Laughter is, after all, the best medicine!

Or....you can talk to someone. There are many non profit organisations who would be happy to lend a helping hand like the 'Befrienders'. If not, talk to your parents, your best friend, whoever! Just go talk to someone! You would feel better with some weight lifted off your shoulder!

And if you know someone who is suicidal, please reach out and help your friend. Don't be oblivious!

~Cheers!
