I just finished watching The Descendants...It was long overdue. This show starring George Clooney, who was actually nominated for Best Actor at this year's Oscars, acting as a father of two rebellious, foul mouthed teenagers who suddenly had the sole job of taking care of them when his wife was incapacitated after a boating accident.
It was a slow, kinda sad movie but entertaining nevertheless. It depicts the story of a workaholic father who never took care of his children alone, suddenly, all burdens are on him and he doesn't know what to do with his foul mouthed children who doesn't respect him as authority.
There are some injected sense of humour here and there so as not to make this show boring. Though I don't think this should earn George Clooney an Oscar, but he did a very good job in this movie. Nomination was good but it was right that the Oscar didn't go to him.
This was also a breakout for Shailene Woodley, who acted as the eldest daughter(left in the pic) but anyway all who acted in this movie were so lucky to be with George! I mean he's an idol!
They did an interview with all the cast and everyone said George was really funny on set and it was so enjoyable to be working with him! How cool is that?
A movie worth checking out in DVD =)
